Estienne
Postma started the company in 1965 with his brother Julien at
56
Perl Road,
Korsten. The company started as an electric motor and armature winding business
with repairs to generators and transformers. Care was taken to ensure quality
workmanship on the electrical and mechanical side of the electrical motors.
In the
early 1980’s the transformer manufacturing was introduced into the company. This
developed to where we currently manufacture a range of PC mount, single and
three phase transformers. The
Perl
Road
building is today used for the manufacturing of transformers, power supplies and
the automation/panel building side of our business.
Adrienne
Postma joined the company in March 1987. In September 2003 we acquired larger
premises on the corner of Desmond and
Lynn
Street,
Korsten to further our winding business. We acquired balancing and shot blast
facilities, a bigger lathe, a rigid test table for overall vibration
measurements and frequency analysis and more space in general to ensure better
operation, serviced by a 5 ton overhead crane. These facilities allow us to
offer a complete range of services to industries, municipalities and farmers in
the
Eastern
Cape.
